After the injection, BOTOX diffuses into the tissue and binds selectively and reversibly to specific targets and inhibit release of certain substance which cause relaxation of local muscles that is reversible, for example; reducing facial wrinkles or lines which are caused by muscle contraction.

What to expect after injection?

The clinical effects of BOTOX are seen on the 4th-7th days after injection, followed by 1–4 weeks of maximum effect, which will resolve after 3–4 months.

The duration of BOTOX varies among individuals due to differences in muscle arrangements, meaning that different individuals may require different doses of BOTOX in the first session and in the retouch session which is done after 7 days of the first session.
